Where the lookup runs

Carrier lookup is part of the subscription software, not this page. Signed-in customers run it inside their own workspace, against their own carrier list, with every result recorded in their account's history. It is available on every paid plan — carriers, brokers and shipping companies alike.

The underlying records are public, and you do not need us to see them: FMCSA publishes the same data in the SAFER Company Snapshot. What the software adds is doing it against your carriers, keeping the source and retrieval time with each fact, and leaving a record your team can point at later.

Review the underlying information

Public carrier records can provide useful context, but may be incomplete or delayed. Review the source and make your own decision. Documented eligibility rules apply to who can book or request loads; customer users make the carrier choice.

Source and retrieval time. The lookup shows where public facts came from and when they were retrieved. A public insurance filing is not a policy review or shipment-specific coverage confirmation. The lookup is not an approval or recommendation.

Double-broker & chameleon defense

The double-broker screen flags an entity holding broker-only authority trying to pose as a carrier (49 U.S.C. § 14808). The new-authority screen flags brand-new dockets — the classic "chameleon carrier" trick of reincarnating a shut-down operation under a fresh number. Read more in double-brokering explained.

QuickShip displays formal FMCSA safety-rating records when available. FMCSA's Safety Measurement System (SMS) is a separate performance-data system, not a federal safety rating; FMCSA explains how to interpret SMS data.

Honest, legal data only

Every fact is the carrier's public FMCSA record, so you can verify it yourself. Customers are responsible for their own assessments and decisions. See Product & Compliance for the operating model.
